Pre-Op Instructions

Do not rush to arrive for your appointment.

Give yourself plenty of time so that you can reach the office without feeling

Be calm and try to relax.

Fear often originates from the unknown. Please feel free to ask us any questions
you might have. You may wish to consult Dr. Sandhu about a pre-medication
which could help you with anxiety management. If you opt for pre-medication for
anxiety control, you will need to bring a driver with you.

Be sure to eat a light meal before you appointment.

Following your surgery you will be given complete post operative instructions.

So that you will not have to shop immediately following the surgery, it may be
helpful for you to have some of the following items in your home:

Ice cream, yogurt, milk shake, cottage cheese, sherbet, applesauce, jello, or anything else that fits the description of cold/cool and soft foods.

Please take 2 to 3 tablets of ibuprofen (Advil) before arriving for your
appointment, it is recommended to take 600 to 800mg 1 hour prior to your
arrival. If you have an allergy to ibuprofen or are unable to take this
medication, please speak with Dr. Sandhu regarding an appropriate
